All our films are backed by a lifetime warranty. Please note that our warranty covers both film and installation so if you do need to make a warranty claim in the future, we won’t give you an unpleasant surprise and charge for labour, like some companies.

(a) Heat reduction figures quoted are supplied by film manufacturers for film applied to Pilkington 4mm tinted glass.

(b) Film construction

• (i) Full Metal films are colourfast and will not fade (no dye added)
• (ii) Metallised films are not colourfast and fade slowly over a number of years (Small amount of dye is added to achieve greater colour depth)
• (iii) Dyed films are not colourfast and fade quickly. Dyed films are not stocked by Tintplus.

Film Descriptions

AllClear

Many new cars are now fitted with privacy glass on the rear windows. The dark glass looks great but it does make the car hotter (Dark glass absorbs more heat than clear glass). Smart Films AllClear is a clear (untinted) solar control film that may be applied to tinted glass to significantly reduce the heat entering the vehicle and protect the vehicle interior, and its occupants, from the damaging UV rays. AllClear is a full metal film that contains no dyes or pigments. It is manufactured using the latest electron beam coating technology to achieve the highest standards of quality and performance and outstanding optical clarity. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

 SuperKool

SuperKool is Smart Films highest performance automotive film. SuperKool incorporates the same Smart Films technology as used in its top of the range ClearView and Ambiance architectural films and is constructed with multiple layers of exotic metals to achieve outstanding heat protection. SuperKool is a full metal film that contains no dyes or pigments. It is manufactured using the latest electron beam coating technology to achieve the highest standards of quality and performance and outstanding optical clarity. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty that also covers colour change.

 True Black

True Black is Smart Films darkest appearing automotive film. True Black is constructed from multiple layers of exotic metals that absorb light. Because of the films low reflectivity it appears significantly darker than other “darkest legal” automotive films while still providing high heat protection. True Black is a full metal film that contains no dyes or pigments. It is manufactured using the latest sputter coating technology to achieve the highest standards of quality and performance. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty that also covers colour change.

 Elite

Elite is a high performance film for the budget conscious. It features high heat protection and excellent optical clarity while not appearing quite so dark. It is constructed from layers of exotic metals that contain no dyes or pigments. It is manufactured using the latest sputter coating technology to achieve the highest standards of quality and performance. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty that also covers colour change.

 Spectrum

Spectrum is specifically designed for vehicles that are fitted with in-glass antennas and GPS to overcome the radio frequency (AM band) interference that may be experienced with full metal films. Spectrum is a dark appearing, high quality and colourfast multi-ply non-metal film that may be used alone or in combination with high performance metal films. The absence of metal in the film does lower its heat protection performance. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.

 Blacklight

Blacklight is a metallised film that sets a new standard for quality, heat protection and optical clarity in a mid-range film. It’s modern charcoal colour is sharp and sophisticated and it looks good on most vehicles. Blacklight is manufactured using evaporative coating technology to achieve high standards of quality and performance. While containing some dye and pigments it is not prone to fading and very little colour change will be evident in the first 5 years. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty

 Black Chrome

Black Chrome is a very dark appearing metallised film that provides good heat protection. It is manufactured using evaporative coating technology. It contains some dye and pigments and colour change will be evident after 2-3 years. It is backed by a Lifetime Warranty.
