Installation

Tintplus pre-cuts the film to 20mm oversize (ie. 20mm larger than the window pane size you entered) and delivers the film to your home ready for installation.

Customers may choose to install their own film (DIY Installation) or to use our Professional Installation service.

If you choose DIY Installation Tintplus will email you easy to follow, step by step, film installation instructions.

If you choose Professional Installation, installation costs with be calculation on the information you provide on the following step.

Installer Safety

Tintplus complies with OH&S safe working guidelines to protect workers against falls and injury. Where a window pane cannot be safely accessed by step ladder and/or the top of the window is more than 3.6 metres above floor level our installers will not perform the installation without prior inspection and approval by Tintplus management. If the installer judges it is unsafe to perform the installation, and must return to the job at a later date with appropriate equipment to complete the installation, an additional call-out fee will be charged, as well as the cost of any equipment that must be hired (billed at cost) to complete the job. If in doubt, please book a FREE in-home measure and quote.

Windows located in stairwells must have a flat working area directly below the window where a step ladder can be safely erected and the top of the window to be tinted must be less than 3.6M above the level on which the ladder is erected. If there is not a level surface under the window to be tinted special equipment may be required.

Professional Installation

Tintplus provides a film installation service in South-east Queensland. Professional installation is provided by Approved Installers in other Australian Capital Cities and in some regional centres.

The cost for professional installation by Tintplus depends on the size of your job and the job complexity. The film installation charge for typical aluminium windows found in the home that can be accessed from floor level for your job of m2 will be $.

Payment for film installation is payable to the film installer on job completion.

When you purchase window tinting film through Tintplus and choose our professional installation service we will contact you to schedule the installation date (installation is usually scheduled 7 - 10 days following receipt of order.

Installation workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months (This warranty is in addition to the film manufacturer's warranty)

These have to be removed on the inside of the glass. No additional charge for removal, however, reinstallation after 4-6 weeks when the film has dried will incur an additional call-out fee and hourly charge. Most homeowners replace the "colonial bars" themselves - it is not difficult.
